Strength & Unity

Dear Fellow NOA Members,

We are in unprecedented times. Not since 911 have our lives been so fundamentally altered. Unlike during 911, this enemy is far more pervasive. The unknowns vastly out number the knowns. Your NOA Board, executive team, the NFLA, OPNAD, NSLC, and all of the diversity groups are working nonstop to provide whatever support we can. The Company has stepped up and is lending whatever resources are required so that everyone makes it through this crisis. Everyone. You are not alone.

Tomorrow’s national webcast will address many of our concerns with the large caveat that no one has all the answers. We will need to make calls with limited knowledge and much risk. Now is the time for us to be engaged and using our best judgement. Our best efforts are exactly what is required. We are experts at our business and our teams are relying on that expertise and confidence.  Our customers are relying on us to remain open in whatever capacity we can.

The federal government is taking action (not all good). You will be receiving a letter to your senator that we encourage you to send to your respective Senators. Our State and Local Authorities are taking action as well. While we must comply with all government authorities, there will be plenty of judgement calls to make. Know that you have the full support of the NOA in whatever decision you make and that we will stand behind you. Just like our communities and customers count on McDonald’s strength, we can count on those Arches during times like these. Your leadership is up for this challenge and we do have the “Greatest Franchisees in the World.” McDonald’s remains open and ready to serve.

Your NOA Board
