Kevin McCarthy, U.S. House Minority Leader To Appear In Dallas

Dear Fellow Owners:

Thank you for your on-going leadership both within the McDonald’s System and so many of you as loyal supporters of the McDonald’s Government Relations efforts. We are pleased to announce that the U.S. House of Representatives Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy recently confirmed his attendance at the Annual NOA meeting.

Leader McCarthy will provide an update during the meeting on the “Small Business Agenda” in Congress. He will specifically address many of the most important issues to the McDonald’s Government Relations Committee including QIP, the Minimum Wage debate and other tax and regulatory proposals affecting your bottom line. Leader McCarthy will be speaking to all the conference attendees on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 during Session 4.

We are writing to invite you to participate in a “McDonald’s Owners Host Committee for Leader McCarthy” at a separate private reception and photo opportunity immediately following his presentation.  Ideally, to demonstrate our support for one of the top 3-4 government officials in Washington, D.C. we would like to have at least twenty commitments of $5000 on the Host Committee. We will be encouraging others in attendance to contribute at a level they are comfortable with. We are also sensitive to those who would prefer not to participate or support this event.

Congressman McCarthy has a strong plan and team in place dedicated to “Taking Back the House” by targeting the key districts lost in the off-year elections. This joint fundraising committee can accept individual or PAC contributions well in excess of that requested. If the committee is successful in the effort to take back the House, Leader McCarthy will become Speaker McCarthy and third in line to be the President.

Those who follow Congressman McCarthy realize his dignified and principled leadership is rare in the current hyper-charged political environment. His accomplishments are significant as the legislator credited with banning earmarks in spending bills and he’s responsible for protecting all Americans from significant tax increases while eliminating burdensome regulations that inhibit job growth. He’s also been a recipient of the NFIB Guardian of Small Business Award. Congressman McCarthy was compelled to run for office as he was a small business owner (deli) and quickly realized what an obstacle government interference was to his success.

To accommodate the special reception that will begin immediately after the adjournment of the meeting, we will create a separate area for the meet and greet that is set up on the conference floor. Again, we want to be sensitive to anyone who wouldn’t want to participate in the fundraising event.

Thank you for your consideration. Please R.S.V.P. to be listed on the host committee in either of two ways: by contacting Rhea Davis at or by using the R.S.V.P. on the attached invitation by September 16, 2019. We would be grateful if we can add your name as a host for the reception as well.
